Aberconwy House

My connection with Aberconwy House is through my great grand father Captain Stephen Williams. He had two ships the “Margaret” and the “Jane” that traded between Conwy and Liverpool. Stephen and his wife Margaret lived at Aberconwy Houes circa 1850. Their children all born at home were known as Pen Crisiau, ie Robert Pen Crisiau. In the parish register the address was 1 High Street and the door leading to the National Trust shop today was in those days the entrance to a Temperance Hotel. When the NT took charge of Aberconwy House in the 1930's the records were lost. As a family we are interested in how and why Stephen came to live there. If anyone can shed light on this we would be very grateful.
